Kimber: I'll clean up Graham's dresser tomorrow.

Nathan: If you keep putting things off until tomorrow, you'll have a lot of empty yesterdays.

Kimber: What greeting card did you get that from?

Nathan: Uh, President Thomas S. Monson.

Kimber: Touché.

The complete quote from President Monson's October 2008 General Conference talk, Finding Joy in the Journey: "I thoroughly enjoy many musicals, and one of my favorites was written by the American composer Meredith Willson and is entitled The Music Man. Professor Harold Hill, one of the principal characters in the show, voices a caution that I share with you. Says he, “You pile up enough tomorrows, and you’ll find you’ve collected a lot of empty yesterdays."'

  1. Please tell me you've actually seen The Music Man. Not the horrible remake with Matthew Broderick, but the original movie version with Shirley Jones. It's a classic. :)

  2. Jess is right, and one of our favorites. One of my husbands amazing talents is that he can reenact the entire opening sequence (the train scene) singing every persons part at amazing speed. He can also repeat a line by Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars. It's something about shooting swamprats, or wombats back home. I love a man who can quote movie lines.

Comments make my day.
